About Me

I am an American currently living in a suburb of Paris. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis on Theory and Practice in English, Social Studies, and World Languages.

Over the past fifteen years, I have lived in four countries on three continents and learned two new languages. During that time, I have developed a deep appreciation for communication and for the power of language. My own struggles to connect with those around me have taught me the value of simplicity when I could not find the words, as well as a deeper sensitivity to the music and nuances of my own language.

I live in a bilingual home with my French husband and our two beautiful children. I not only enjoy being a teacher; I am also an avid student and genuinely enjoy learning about the world in which we live.

Over the years, I have taught a wide variety of subjects, from basic computer skills to more advanced and specialised software, and I even spent some time working as a math tutor. In English, I have taught children, including both bilingual students and learners of English as a second language, as well as adult learners. My experience with adults has included business English, conversational English, and writing skills.

My goal as a teacher, whatever the age or proficiency level of my students, is to inspire confidence and help them reach their fullest potential.
